Happy With Myself

I wrote this poem on 07/01/15 and 07/02/15.  I think we as people tend to care a little too much about what other people think of us. Some tries to change the way they dress, or talk or do to please someone else's narrow-minded view of who they should be.

As believers-in-Christ, Jesus tells us not to worry about what is going to happen in our lives and even not to worry even if someone kills you. The only opinion we should care about is Jesus' opinion. Jesus is God. He is the only One we will have to give an account of our deeds to.  As long as we are living a life that is pleasing to Him, then that is the only thing that matters.

Next time someone tries to put you down then just ignore it and lift up your head real high and know that God loves you and is pleased with you!

I don't care what you think of me
I don't care what you say
For I am happy with myself!
So if you think you can get me down
You can try again another day
Because I am happy with myself!

You may not like the way I sound
You may not like the way I dress
But please spare me your drama
Give it a rest!

So take your complaints
To someone who cares
It doesn't matter how
It doesn't matter where

I don't care what you think of me
I don't care what you say
For I am happy with myself!
So if you think you can get me down
You can try again another day
Because I am happy with myself!

I refuse to give in to

Someone else's narrow-minded view

I will continue to do

What I know is true!

Having my life produce worship for Jesus

Gets me to and keeps me on cloud nine!

As long as my life is a sweet aroma for Jesus

I will be just fine!

Too bad if it makes you angry!

Too bad if it makes you whine!

Too bad if it makes you stomp and cry!

None of that really matters

Because my life isn't mine!

So...

I will choose to praise and please Jesus
